My entry for the contest found here.
This was a suggestion to me by  in passing, but I found her characters to be quite interesting.And so, this is the first installment of my canine series. I wanted to incorporate more into their designs than just their hair, so I tried my best to incorporate their outfits into it, hence the checkerboard patterns on Benjamin's ears and the corset-lacing patterns on Alice's. Braids are hard. I left the colouring flat because -- for once -- I think the lineart's nice enough on it's own. I tried shading and it just didn't look right at all. The quote in the background comes from the logo/header/whatever on the journal entry. I found it interesting. ..I'm just hoping it actually has something to do with underLAND. XD I really hope likes it, regardless if it wins or not. XD Drawing people's characters as dogs makes me nervous sometimes -- because I want to do them justice. <3 |
